Favourite Possession: Moon-shaped earrings (In a gold colour.) History: Elmina, shortly after she was born and given a name, was left on the steps of Artica castle. Orphaned and left there hopefully to be taken in before she froze. Shortly after she was left there, she was taken in by a young boy who would later become her commander, Coldbird. As she grew up, she would watch the knights train, and it was at Elmina's young age of five that she decided she was going to become one. Once she hit the age of eight, she began to train. It was then that her teachers realized that she had the potential to be part of the knights that they were trying to form. That group of elite knights would soon be the Fenrir Knights. At the age of twelve, the barely teenaged Elmina was officially knighted and put into the elite knights. It was there that she continued her training, and learned her speed techniques with the sword. During her training and within the group she met Garrett, a teenager not too much older than herself. After spending time with him, she grew to like him. A lot. Even if she did tease him about it and act as if she didn't. At the age of sixteen, Elmina was put in charge (under Coldbird) of the Fenrir Knights. She was also given the nickname of "Sword Princess", as she was the only female in the Fenrir Knights. Her part of the knights was to attack first, as she was the 'sword' of the group. However, at the age of eighteen, under cover of night and a terrible snowstorm, demons attacked the snowy city, killing everyone in sight. The Fenrir Knights were put in charge of taking the prince (who became king for all of ten minutes) to a safe place, and to make sure that the treasure that their capital protected, the Arch, was kept safe. During this time, every unit in the knights of Artica were slain, as were all of the Fenrir Knights, save for two - Elmina and Garrett. Garrett tried to get Elmina to go back to help the rest, but as she had been injured, she proceeded to tell him that getting revenge and getting himself killed wasn't courage. As they ran to the gates to escape a horrible death by the demons hands, Elmina locked Garrett out of the castle, staying behind as, for one she couldn't run because of her injury, and for two because she wanted him to escape while she distracted the demon Alhazad following them. Elmina sacrificed herself to save the man she loved - only to be instead taken by the demons, along with the Arch her unit was so desperate to protect. The Arch was actually the being the demons called 'Mother'. Not long after that, Elmina was brainwashed to make her believe she was a demon - the demon knight Lady Harken. Two years later, the demons surfaced, bent on obliterating the humans on Filgaia to take the world for themselves in places of Hiades, the world they had previously inhabited until it was destroyed. Elmina fought against the two wanderers and the princess of Adlehyde who had taken on the job of saving Filgaia from the demons, as the demons had taken Adlehyde's precious treasure; the Teardrop. Not long after, the two wanderers Jack and Rudy and the princess Cecilia fought to retrieve the Teardrop, and succeeded in their goal, unfortunately finding out that a replica was made of the Teardrop, the Dark Teardrop. However, they were led on by the demons to kill Mother, as they had found out that Mother was the one who destroyed Hiades. Shortly after, the group traveled to the Dragon Shrine to talk to the guardian Lucadia. They encountered Lady Harken, and after a short fight with her, Lucadia tries to tell her to remember who she really is. Harken, not wanting to hear what she thought were lies, quickly left. After the wanderers travel to the Demon Lab, Harken had been thinking about what Lucadia had been saying. Harken had recognized Jack, but she hadn't been sure where. Though, after another fight with the three, Jack recognizes her as Elmina. As their quest progressed, Jack saw bits and pieces of his past in his mind. The reason why Lady Harken had recognized him, and the fact that he had done the same, is because Jack had been hiding his true name - Garrett. After a short time of being unconscious due to himself playing 'hero', he knew Harken would be waiting for him in Artica - the place they had met. Harken was indeed there, waiting for Jack. Remembering her own past, but unable to fight off the demonic influences in her mind, she asked Jack to kill her - so she wouldn't be able to kill any more innocent people. However, the part of her mind that had become Lady Harken wouldn't let her die without a fight. Jack eventually won out, and by her own request, left her to die in her home; Artica Castle. Of course, fate wouldn't have that. Not a month later did she awaken in Milama village; she had been rescued from a frozen grave by some excavators that had gone to try to salvage pieces of Artica's past. Elmina knew what she had done, but the part of her that had been Lady Harken still lingered. Desperate to get away from her past, she travelled to Atlantis University. After finding out that Alhazad had even tried to alter memories, Elmina found out that she was younger than she had originally thought. During this time, even if she hadn't been looking for it, the lovebug bit her, and she fell in love with the world domination-crazy Golbez Zemus. Of course, this came with consequence of gaining an enemy; Kain Highwind. Inbetween the nightmares and such of her former life as a hybrid demon, Harken found herself taking out frustration and getting into a couple of physical fights with her newfound enemy. Before the closure of Atlantis University, Kain tried to break apart the broken girl from Golbez, which was a failed attempt - and brought the two lovesick psychotics even closer together. After the closure of the school, the two traveled to Arcadia Garden, where Harken currently resides. After a few problems with Kain, including Kain nearly killing Harken, and Harken reverting back to her old self and nearly killing Kain, she's become more careful on what she lets bother her. She's been good (for the most part) on ignorning Kain and those who annoy her to no end. Of course, also added to that list was Zexion when he broke the girl's mind by using his shadows and illusions to make her think Alhazad had come back and the Fenrir Knights hated her. Because of these events, however, she and Golbez have only grown closer. Harken has latched on to Golbez more and more, and knows that he's insanely protective of her. Personality and Appearance: Elmina is one who would do anything for the people close to her. However, she's quite hot-headed, and will rush into a conflict quickly. She'll sacrifice herself to take a few hits, if it means that she can get in a few herself. She's very loyal to those she's close to. Elmina would give her life for Golbez's, if it came down to it. However, she can get quite arrogant if things are going towards her favour in a fight. She prefers to be up close and personal in a fight, rather than trying to stay away from her enemy, or in some cases, enemies. As for appearance, her hair is quite long - at least down to her mid-thigh. Elmina prefers to wear comfortable clothes, but really prefers skirts over pants at any given time. She's sometime seen in her clothes from her homeworld, which includes a tunic and pants. She does like t-shirts and shorts, or even her beater-styled black tank top for comfort, if that's what she's going for. Simple shirts to go with her skirts, and she's never seen without her gold crescent moon earrings, as they were a gift for her on her sixteenth birthday. Elmina's not a very tall person; 5'5" at most, and for a heavy-weapon wielder (scythe/sword), she's not very muscular. She's surprised many an opponent with the fact that she can keep her swiftness and swing a weapon around with the same speed, even when she looks like she weighs all of 115 pounds.
